The Campaign of Elen is set in a High Fantasy world about 100 years after the Events of The Guardians.
Elen has the extra benefits of the Anima system, basically electricity as well as the steam train, Muskets are quite popular during this time period but only gunslingers will have access to speed loaded rifles.
Elen is a medium sized Continent made up of 4 Islands Nova, Dovah Golt, Iaun and Elen the Mainland. The Inhabitants of Elen primarily consist of: Humans, Elves, Tauren, Half Orcs, Goblins, Dragonborn, Gnomes, Dwarves and the newly reborn race of the Warforged that thanks to anima technology have regained their sentience.
Each Race belongs to one of the 3 main Factions, The Kaldorai, The Novan Concord or The Anvil-Cog Federation. Though hostilities for land and resources were once prevalent all across the continent, such quibbles have all but faded since the creation of a group of democratic representatives from each faction called The Consortium and the subsequent creation of the Great City of Amdir. While the Kaldorai still hold majority ownership of Elen, thanks to the Consortiums new tax reform, The Kaldorai have willingly opened the Silverpine forest for all to come and prosper.
After the layline explosion 103 years ago, The lower half of Dun Morogh has been claimed by a group known as the Dark Iron Dwarves, Who utilize its flowing Lava to fuel their furnaces producing high quality work, some of which would only ever be found in the foundry's of those who live in the Plane of Fire. With the help of the Consortium, The Anvil-Cog Federation have come to a mutual agreement of ownership, details about this deal are unknown to the public.
Anima: With the creation of Anima 20 years ago by Consortium delegate, Milhouse Manastorm, much of Amdir now has Anima power flowing to their own home and business. Anima allows for the conversion of Arcane energy into the form of any element, The uses of which are still being discovered daily! Some examples are: Internal cooling and heating furnaces as well as Anima powered Lanterns!
The Steam Train: Shortly after the creation of Anima, with the Consortiums assistance, the creation of a steam powered, high speed form of transportation was created. more accessible than portals, faster than carriage, The Steam train allows for movement of both people and goods across all of Elen and to most Cities. Though some nefarious individuals look to take advantage of this system, hijacking and robbing carriages while on long journeys, The Consortium have created their own Ranger division to counter this new force.
Climate: Being just south of the Equator , Elen tends to have moderate temperatures all year round.
